Easter 2009

Late coming, I know. This time of the year is always a crunch. I am wrapping up with my semester, Jeff is wrapping up his, and this year we have the added part of Jeff being back in school. As part of of efforts to prepare us for the big move (either the summer of 2010 or 2011), Jeff has started his project management degree. He's also looking at getting his LEED certification, so we're looking at him doing some sort of project management in a green field.

At any rate, since I have have some time this weekend - I thought I would catch up the blog.

The first batch of pictures are the kids' spring portraits. Jeff encouraged me to take my own this year. Words cannot explain exactly how quintessential Janna this picture really is.

These are a few shots from the Easter Eggstravaganza we have at the church every year.
JR holding Daddy's hand.
Listening to story time.
JR didn't want to sit with the rest of the kids.
Janna coloring. She actually won the contest for 4 year olds.
Making a craft.
Activities.

Easter morning, all dressed up and ready to go to church!

Our church's sanctuary.
After church - coloring eggs.

Decisions, decisions...

My favorite part is that he's in his "underoonies."

Showing off the goods.

Hunting the plastic variety (Hard boiled eggs are like gold around here. We're not wasting them in the hot Florida sun!)

The kids had a GREAT Day, as did we. Can't wait for next year!

Happy Birthday JR! (continued)

So, after JR's birthday Saturday (where he got his bike) - we had birthday Sunday. We went to see his fiancee, Desiree:
Here he is, posing:

Feeding the ducks...er...eating the bread...
After Desiree's birthday, we went home to open gifts.

The next day, birthday Monday (which was ACTUALLY his birthday):

We ate dinner at HighJackers (our favorite pizza place was closed).

On the playground and the restaurant:

At the table. I have no idea what he was doing here:
Drinking lemonade (the kids' favorite)

I think his crayons were attacking each other here:
I tried to get this shot with JR's shadow, but it didn't work.

Lighting the candles:
"OH! Birthday cupcakes!
Blowing out the candles...
Yummy cupcakes.

Sunset at the airport (the restaurant is on the airport).
Here are the cupcakes I made JR for his birthday.

Cupcakes for the family (oreo cookie cupcakes. They found the picture in my cupcake cookbook, and ordered it!)
Blue cupcakes for his daycare. Per his order.
