Janna and the rest of our church's Sunday School did a little performance on Mother's Day. It was her first activity like this - and it was too cute! It took her about a minute to get focused on what she was supposed to be doing, but once she got started she did a pretty good job. Sorry the pictures aren't great, it was hard to get good ones.

Janna's Mother's Day Performance.
A JR trick.
JR has taken to tossing things. Anything. Anything that isn't too heavy (but Lord knows, he tries) or attached to the ground. When he tosses it, he throws directly up and behind. The other night he set off the alarm because he hit the wall with the motion sensor, and he hit it so hard it offended the sensor 5 feet away.
One night, I came in to find JR getting ready to throw the remote. "JR, NOOOOO!" I yelled. But alas, it was too late.
I don't think I could have done this if I tried.

Bragging on Granny...
I wanted to redo Janna's room, and made mention to my Mom. She said she would make her a quilt...and I admit...I wasn't thrilled with the idea. The mathematician in my just can't handle disorder and mismatching. I wanted to go "buy" a room that all coordinated and went together well. I told Mom to go ahead and make it, but that we would likely be buying things in the near future.
Well, I was right...we WILL be purchasing some things. Like, new items to go with Janna's BEAUTIFUL QUILT! Seriously, this is better than anything I could have gotten at Pottery Barn. It's absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to make and buy a few things that make the room as beautiful as the quilt.

Minnesota Trip: April, 2008
Janna and JR have a new Aunt! The family jumped up to Minnesota to officially welcome Debra into the family. This seems silly, as Brent (Jeff's brother) and Deb have been together longer than Jeff and I have. Still, it was a joyous occasion, and the kids loved the trip.
Let us start with the flight up there. We left a little later than we should. Well, a lot later. We were on time by schedule, but I tried to avoid an argument with Jeff and decided to try leaving a little later. Well, it turns out, that was a bad idea. We missed our flight, leaving us SIX HOURS in the Orlando Airport.
Now, as it turns out, 6 hours in MCO really isn't all that bad. The kids got to do some shopping with me at the Sea World, Disney, and Universal stores in the mall. We rode the elevator with the windows, ran around the airport, and looked at the big airplanes. I actually think the kids had a blast.

While up in the Twin Cities, we were "blessed" with a very late snow. Now, Aunt Deb - in her beautiful white strapless dress - did not feel so blessed. However, considering I have two Floridans for children, we sure did feel it.
