December 23rd: Winter Wonderland

Last year, a nearby city started this "winter wonderland" bit. I wanted to go last year, but we ran out of Christmas. This year, we were able to attend.

Before we left, snapping a few pictures of the kids in their holiday garb:

Love this picture of Janna looking at her brother. Posing nicely (with bribery).
This is a picture of the outdoor rink. In Florida. Amazing.
And the ice luge. I was hoping to take the kids on this. Turns out, it was sort of a death wish.
In an elf house - how excited to they look?
This picture of JR makes me giggle.
Love this series of pictures, all from the elf houses.

Family picture, on the "sleigh ride"
Petting the horse afterward.

Janna and Mommy's Christmas Mani/Pedi.

Which will not happen until she can understand that movement + nail polish = bad. That poor nail tech was SO patient with her..

Soaking toesies.

"Janna, look at Mommy..."
"Janna, make a nice face..."I won't even take pictures of the mani/pedi - as Janna's are a nightmare. At least she had fun! I have lovely Santa Red toes and a pretty golden color on my fingers.

First day of Christmas Break - Monday December 23rd.

Watching TV:

Under the blanket...
"you can't see us Mommy!"
"peekaboo...."
LOVE this picture - "talk to the hand..."

Christmas at Sea World - December 20th

First stop - the turtles. Pretty early here.

Next stop, the dolphins. The kids were heartbroken that there was no room to stand at the tank. Fortunately, we found an underwater tank where we could get within inches of them. Really neat.

An alligator. My kids are such Floridians - they are FASCINATED with alligators.
Waiting for Shamu.

Still waiting - this is a different whale. A Shamu impostor!

THIS is Shamu. I could not get over how HUGE he is! Those of you who have never seen the show. DO NOT sit in the "splash zone" rows unless you WANT to get wet. There's a solid 5 minutes devoted to soaking people. Like, Shamu's whole deal is flinging water at attendees. Janna told me she wants to be a whale trainer.

On one of the rides (we only got to ride one!)
With another Shamu impostor! The kids had a blast - and made it to 4 PM! I was really proud of them, and now we're all SO excited for Disney in January!

Christmas Pictures - December 13th.
