Tropical Storm Faye Photos

Patio covered in Pine needles.
Pools of water in our moody table cover.
Future mosquito home - just built!

That little red light in the distance in actually a siren/light combo that lets everyone know that your PEP tank (pseudo septic tank) is backed up. Happens every time we have a hard rain with someone on the block.

Newly installed swimming pool, courtesy of Faye. Ain't she nice?

We just got a wading pool.
There's what's left of the tree.
You can see the top half behind this vine-ridden log.
And that vine-ridden log is actually the bottom part of this tree.
And these are the tree's roots.
This is our drainage system for the street. It was far more swollen just an hour before - when we were getting the bad rains.
These are the plastic borders for the landscaping. They were creating a swimming pool in front of the house so Jeff ran outside and pulled them. Actually, Faye did us a huge favor. In dry land - these are impossible to get out. In wet sand, they were a piece of cake.
All in all, we did okay. I've been off since Wednesday. Jeff got off early Tuesday, all day Wednesday, early yesterday, and started late today. He'll have to work tomorrow. We were only without power for short spurts yesterday, and I was able to keep the house cool by cranking down the AC while the power was off. No damage to the house - we kept the cars in the garage.

Everyone is fine - we're all ready to get out of the house!
