Happy Birthday, America!

We started the day by heading over to the coast in the hopes of catching the parade. For some unknown reason - they had decided to make their parade on July 5th rather than the 4th. This ABSOLUTELY boggled our minds, but we rolled with it. Jeff and I found a cute little coffee shop to grab a cup of joe, and we were able to get the kids snow cones.
After that we went home for naps and rest. Then we packed the kids up and went over to a friend's house for a BBQ, firecrackers, and pool time. The kiddos had a BLAST.

Here's JR with his girlfriend for the evening. Really. He pushed her significant other out of the way so he could sit with her. It was pretty cute!
Intently watching the firecrackers.
